Something I have always been very passionate about is skin care. I’ve talked about it a couple of times on the blog before. My goal is to make sure that I only share with you when I have something I can stand behind. First Aid Beauty products are still some of my favorite products I have ever used. I also invested in La Mer and found that it was definitely worth the hype.
When I was contacted a few months ago by YoDerm to try their online dermatologist services I was really excited. I found great results after the consultation with some of the irritation I have because of my sensitive skin. They introduced me to a skin care line that I haven’t heard of before. Saison (that means “season” in French) has a unique approach to their skin care. As the seasons change, so does your skin care. It makes perfect sense! Your skin has different needs throughout the year with the changing weather conditions. You can read more about them here.
My skin is oily in the T-zone so I always struggle to find products that counter act that but still keeps my skin moisturized. I was asked to try the Autumn Saison Cleansing Oil and I was a little skeptical. As someone with oily skin I didn’t think that cleansing with oil would be a good idea. The process of washing my face is very different from what I am used to. You massage the oil onto your dry skin and then follow by adding a little water and cleansing.
I can say that I saw a difference in the hydration of my skin after using this cleansing oil for a few weeks. I cut back to only using it in the morning and my First Aid Beauty cleanser in the evening. It definitely helps with the dry skin that can creep in with the cooler weather. But, I have to say that my favorite part of Saison’s skin care line is that it is hand-made from organic oils. And it is cruelty free!
The benefits of oil are amazing! I have always been a fan of coconut oil. I use it for almost everything. Even my dog, Bear, gets a teaspoon everyday because of its benefits. I also love to add a little oil to the ends of my hair. With all of the oil I’m using everywhere else, it really makes sense to use a cleansing oil!
What do you think? Would you try an oil cleanser? With Winter in full swing, I am excited to try the Winter line. Especially the Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer! Hope you all have a great weekend! xo Bryn
This sounds amazing! More recently, I’ve been looking for products to improve my skin. With harsh winter weathers, I definitely need to protect and moisturize!

I’ve heard of oil cleansers but never tried one because of the same reservations. Sounds like I should try it though!

I’m surprised how much I like it! It keeps my skin soft with all of this crazy winter weather! xo Bryn
Everything looks so pretty & yes! Winter is so harsh on your face/skin that anything new to help with that is welcomed.
