No trip to San Diego would be complete without a trip to Coronado Island. This place stole my heart on the last trip so I knew I wanted to go back again. There are some places when you travel that you just can’t get enough of and this is one of them for me.
On Saturday morning we hopped over the bridge for an early breakfast and some exploring. We ate at the cutest diner on Orange Ave. I had the French Toast… obviously French Toast is a favorite of mine!
One of my favorite things to do when Brian and I travel is walk around the residential areas admiring the different types of homes or architecture. Coronado is the perfect place to do this because the homes are all so different and incredibly charming. Everything on the island is so well maintained and all of the beautiful blooms have me in complete heaven.
I think the variety of flowers that are in constant bloom in California are one of the main reasons I love visiting so much. I could spend hours walking around Coronado enjoying all of the pretty sites. Not to mention the beautiful beach that is just steps away.
This was my first time to San Diego in the winter and it was a cooler weekend than they are used to. It was the perfect excuse to pack my new utility jacket with the cutest flower details. I love a good utility jacket. One in khaki and another army green but this one was too special to pass up. I purchased it in store at Banana Republic but I don’t think it is available online yet. This bell sleeve style is also perfect for spring!
Layers were key for this trip and a utility jacket is one of the easiest pieces to travel with. The military green goes well with so many colors, it’s thin, and packable. Green paired with pinks is one of my favorite color combinations so I packed lite with just a few pink t-shirts to rotate under the jacket.
My new M.Gemi Stellato flats were the only shoes I packed for the trip and definitely broke them in with all the walking we did. I have the blisters to prove it! I always travel with my M.Gemi flats but I should have broken this pair in slowly. No doubt they will be perfect for my next trip!
We have some friends who live in San Diego so we try to spend as much time with them as possible while we are there. It’s part of the reason we love visiting the city so much. You just can’t beat good food, great company and a view of the ocean. Xo Bryn
