I have been so inspired by yellow recently. This is not usually a color I wear very often but I think since we are coming out of gloomy winter I am craving the sun!  You can see in Monday’s post that I pulled the yellow tones out with my natural textures and the stripe top. Over the weekend I went in a different direction with these mustard mules.

Mules are definitely the must have style for spring. They are everywhere and in so many different styles. I love these because of the block heel. It’s short enough that they are still comfortable to wear throughout the day but still feel a little dressier than a flat. I read a few size reviews and ended up ordering a half-size down from my usual size and they fit perfectly! Now I want all of the other colors, especially the pink.

I have been wearing button up shirts and my cropped denim a lot recently. It is the perfect “undone” weekend look. I usually tuck in the front of the shirt and leave the rest very relaxed. The casual button up is such a closet staple. I still wear them in the summer the same way with shorts.

My new floral statement earrings tied the whole look together. I saw these beauties and ordered them immediately. I don’t wear statement earrings all of the time but there are a few pairs that I just have to have. If you know me at all you know I love flowers so these floral gems were too pretty to pass up. I love all of the bright colors. They are perfect with a colorful outfit like this one or paired with all white as a statement.
