When I was little, I had a doll house just like any other girl. The difference was I never used mine to play with dolls. I was more focused on arranging the furniture, planning out rooms, and adding personal touches. I have always loved homes and interior design. Growing up I wanted to be an architect. When I realized how much math was involved I decided against it. Then I thought about interior designer but it didn’t fuel my passion like fashion. I never imagined I would end up where I am!
Naturally with a love of architecture and a love of interior design, looking at model homes is one of my favorite weekend pass-times. My mom and I spent many afternoons touring the model homes in our surrounding areas. One particular builder was always a favorite. So when it came time for Brian and I to find our home I knew where to start. We purchased our home around three years ago and not long after I was lucky enough to find myself working for the company!
I am keeping the name private for several reasons, but I will say it’s an amazing company to be a part of. Both as a homeowner and as an employee. My position is in sales so I work in a beautiful model and help people find their dream home. The new construction market in Texas is on fire so it is a very demanding but rewarding job. To be clear, I am not a realtor nor do I have a realtor’s license. I work for one builder in a sales position in a single community.
So many people think that it’s an easy job to just sit in a model all day while people come in. You would probably be surprised with the amount of paperwork it takes to build someone’s dream home. It is my role to juggle all of the paperwork and communication between my buyers and the builder, the designer, the realtor, lender and our operations team. Let’s just say there is never a dull moment when you have 20+ buyers on the books all going through different stages of building their home!
It’s funny to think back on those days when I was creating the perfect home for my dolls to live in. Especially now when I get to be a part of people’s dream home. It’s really rewarding and I can’t ever complain about working in such a beautiful place, either. Working in a model is always good inspiration for my own home. It’s been a fun work-in-progress over the last few years as we slowly make the house feel like our home.

Yes! And you always do a fantastic job! xo Bryn
Gorgeous!! Weird question: Is Pulte the builder of your home?? We just built with Pulte and I’m seeing a lot of similarities in your structure & kitchen! I love your home style 🙂

Whoops! Sorry Bryn! Just saw that you’re keeping the name private. My mistake!
No worries girl! It’s not Pulte and I’m really just keeping it private so that the company isn’t associated with the post since they haven’t approved this post. xo Bryn

Bryn! Your home is even more beautiful than I imagined! Everything looks so gorgeous like it belongs in a magazine. Will you share more about how your home design all came together and where you found the pieces you have? I’d love to learn more about home design/decor and it looks like you’ve got an eye for it!
