If you caught my post on Friday you will know that I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Allbirds. Happily, they arrived Friday and I haven’t taken them off since. I got a few messages asking for my thoughts so I wanted to share a review of the shoes. I’ve been wanting a pair of Allbirds for a while now. There were a few colors that I wanted that sold out quickly so it took some time to commit. I ended up with the Kortare Heather (lavender) color and really love them!

For those of you who might not know about Allbirds I’ll give you the quick rundown. You can read more about the shoes here. They are tennis shoes that are made out of merino wool. The wool supposedly regulates temperature so you don’t have to wear socks, minimizes odor and wicks moisture. You can even put them in the wash when they get dirty. Gentle cycle, of course. They are only sold online and come in under $100.

I put on my shoes the second I took them out of the box and was really amazed at how comfortable they were. It’s true what they say about not needing to wear socks. I wore them all weekend without socks and my feet stayed really warm. It was in the 40s for the low and my feet were still nice and toasty!

I haven’t tried working out in them yet, but I wore them all weekend while I was doing my major clean-out. I never felt like my feet got too warm.

So as you can probably tell, I’m pretty obsessed with my Allbirds. I definitely recommend them. For sizing, I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 and the 9 fits me perfectly. Don’t be surprised if you see me sporting the Tuke Dusk pretty soon, too! xo Bryn
