Hi Everyone!
Brian and I recently took a little road trip to Fredericksburg for a weekend in the Texas Hill Country. We planned the trip relatively quickly, using our two-year wedding anniversary as an excuse to get out-of-town. With Brian’s schedule, we don’t get to spend too much time together, so weekend trips away from work and routine are essential.
This was my first time in Fredericksburg so I was excited to see what all it has to offer and packed a full itinerary for the weekend starting with Wildseed Farms. It’s no secret by now that I’ve never met a flower I didn’t like, so when I heard there was an entire farm dedicated to Texas wildflowers, I knew this would be the perfect way to start off our weekend.
Wildseed Farms is a nursery, winery and wildflower farm all rolled into one… how could you go wrong? The Red Corn Poppy fields are in full bloom, painting the fields with the most vibrant red you can imagine!
After we toured the fields, we popped inside for a tasting. I won’t pretend to be a wine aficionado but I know a good rosé when I try one and I really enjoyed their selection. All of the grapes are grown in Texas and locally sourced, which made it extra special!
Gingham and my hunter boots were my uniform for the day. It’s such an easy, breezy look for frolicking through fields of wildflowers. I love classic pieces when I travel, like my denim jacket that I can wear over everything in my suitcase.
If you get a chance to visit Wildseed Farms be sure to check out their website for “bloom updates” to see what will be blooming during your trip.
Thank you for stopping by! xo Bryn
