We’ve had some gloomy days here in Dallas lately so I decided to take matters into my own hands and brighten everything up! How could this row of pastel painted homes and their front doors lined with flowers not make you happy?! I’ll take the pink one please!
Earlier this week I shared a lace look from one of my favorite online shops, Chicwish which is where I found this darling lace crop top. As I mentioned in this post, I always check Chicwish for unique pieces to add to my wardrobe.
When I saw this top I put it in my cart right away. The lace detail is even more beautiful than I was expecting and I am in love with the color – it’s the softest, fresh mint! I am not normally a crop top enthusiast but I knew this would pair perfectly with my high waisted pants from Banana Republic (last seen here). It’s funny how reluctant we can be to try new things until we find a piece that combines the trend with elements of our personal style. I am always drawn to feminine looks that are classic and this sweet lace top fits that perfectly while taking me out of my comfort zone with the crop.
I pulled out my favorite bag in my collection for this look – my Valentino Rockstud tote. I consider gray to be the perfect neutral. I pair it with everything. I even decorated my home in gray tones. I love how it compliments the pastel hues while keeping the look very soft. Also, is there such a thing as too much Rockstud?! I don’t think so.
It took finding this perfect, pastel piece to get me to try a crop top, but I kept the rest of the look true to my style so in the end I still felt comfortable. What are some trends that you have been hesitant to try out?
