Brian and I have been going to the Dallas Arboretum for years now. It’s one of our favorite places to visit no matter what time of year. We love visiting in fall when all the leaves are turning, during the winter with all of the Christmas decorations, but this year we decided we had to go for the Dallas Blooms event. The gardens are covered with over half a million tulips, dandelions, pansies and other spring flowers. It’s truly an amazing site!
We got there shortly after they opened to have breakfast at the café before exploring the gardens. I do recommend getting there earlier in the day because most of the crowds start to arrive in the afternoon.
My favorite spots in the Arboretum are the tucked away “secret” gardens that are off the beaten track. There is a spot off of the Women’s Garden where we always sneak away for a peaceful resting spot. This is where Brian proposed to me and we love to go back and take a minute to reflect on how things have changed.
The weather could not have been more beautiful so I was able to wear one of my new favorite dresses for spring. This dress from Loft’s spring collection is comfortable and effortless, perfect for walking around the gardens.
I paired it with my Chanel espadrilles for the Arboretum, but I will dress it up with my nude pumps for a more formal occasion. I always seem to pull these espadrilles out at the first hint of warm weather. The Chanel’s are an investment, but I also love this pair from Soludos.
The Dallas Blooms Festival will be continuing through April 10, and I highly recommend a visit. The smell from the flowers alone with get you ready for Spring, and a picnic on the lawn sounds like the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Thank you for reading! xo Bryn
I remember that “special” visit you and Brian made a couple of years ago. You have come a long way and I am so proud.
The place looks amazing! And your outfit’s cute!
