It’s been a crazy busy week so I couldn’t wait for a little quiet time on Sunday evening spent with my hubby. I feel like I am so busy right now so I always love any excuse to slow down and enjoy the moment (I talked more about that in this post). One of my favorite ways to do this is watching the sunset. I absolutely love finding a beautiful spot to sit and watch the sun go down. It’s just so peaceful!
I’ve been driving byΒ this gorgeous field covered in bright yellow sunflowers every week and it always makes me want to pull over for a frolic through the flowers. It’s no secret that I have a serious love for flowers, so when Brian and I were thinking about what to do for our date night, I suggested dinner and sunset surrounded by these golden blooms.
I wore this cute little sundress all weekend. It’s been crazy hot in Texas so breezy fabric and short hem lines are a must! I love the high neck and double criss-cross straps. It’s such a cute boho dress with the navy and white print. I’m constantly adding more and more dresses to my wardrobe. It’s the best way to beat the heat!
Since our date night was a causal one, I paired my navy sneakers with the dress and brought my jean jacket for the restaurant. It can be 105 outside but I guarantee I have a jacket or sweater with me. Anyone else always freezing?!
You never know what you are going to get with a sunset and that’s why I love them! Some nights you get a full spectrum of color and others it seems to softly glow. The sunset on Sunday was pure gold, which was made even more vibrant from all of the sunflowers. Texas never ceases to amaze me with its fields of wildflowers.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday and a fresh start to the week! Thank you for stopping by! xo Bryn

Dresses are absolutely the best way to beat the heat! Nothing like a gentle breeze to float into your clothes when it’s the temperature of the fireplace outside. Beautiful location, and dress, as well!

Don’t worry I’m always absolutely freezing too! My family always joke that I’m like the walking dead because I’m pale and always ice cold. All of these photos are absolutely stunning as well, shooting in golden hour was so worth it!
