Hydrangea Flutter Dress

There is something about a summer morning spent on Main Street in a small town that just can’t be beat. None of the shops are open except the bustling coffee shop with all of the locals enjoying their fresh brews. I had a few errands that I wanted to run before the heat got too unbearable and hubs said he would be happy to join (Thanks PokĆ©mon Go!) so we headed out early to start the day in the quaint little town of Grapevine, TX. After breakfast, we picked up some fresh blooms for the house because I can’t ever seem to say no to flowers. They just bring my home to life!

I picked up a bouquet of hydrangeas because my dress happens to be calledĀ the Hydrangea Flutter dress. This might be one of my favorite dresses that I’ve found recently. I always love mustard around this time of year because it is vibrant and sunny butĀ I know I will be able to wear this into Fall as well. It’s a great shade and can be paired with so many different colors. I brought a blush sweater along (not that I needed it) but I love it with a burgundy in the cooler months.

The midi length and the mustard yellow give the dress a vintage vibe, which fit in perfectly strolling down the streets of Old Town. The fabric is thin and flows in the wind which made the 85 degree morning heat feelĀ just a little cooler. I pulled out my natural leather accessories for the day, adding a leatherĀ belt instead of the fabric tie that comes with the dress. I usually like to do this because I think it breaks up the look and makes your waist more defined.
