As you saw in this post, there was no shortage of color in Charleston. The color and the charm were what I loved most about the city. On our last full day, Brian and I felt like we needed to take it a little easier. We had been pretty aggressive with our walking the first few days and our bodies needed a break.
We made our way back down to our favorite area, the neighborhoods between East Bay Street and King Street, just north of S Battery Street, for a little more exploring. I had joked with Brian that we should try to find all of the pink houses in the area. He took the challenge and off we went!
There is no shortage of pink in Charleston. Every block from Rainbow Row on had a least one pink house. Each one had a completely different look than the last. It was such a fun way to admire the city and made us feel like we were on a mission.
It was the hottest day we had the whole time we were in South Carolina. The humidity there is real, y’all. I’m from Texas and I was struggling! So, the hunt for all the pink quickly turned into the hunt for the nearest ice cream shop. We made our way back up Meeting Street to Peace Pie. Their ice cream sandwiches will change your life. The key lime pie was a refreshing pick me up and just what I needed! I’ll be sharing more of our food experiences later in my Charleston City Guide.
My little white sundress was a lifesaver for such a hot afternoon. It caught my eye early in September at Banana Republic’s NYFW presentation. When Banana Republic previewed their Spring Line at fashion week this year, they released select items from the preview online for a limited time. This dress is part of that spring line and I was able to scoop up until it is back in stores next season.
After several days of walking, I decided it was time to break out the M.Gemi’s. I’ve talked about my love affair with these shoes many times on the blog (here and here). I am way more interested in comfort when I’m traveling but I still want to look put together, so my loafers are always in my suitcase no matter where I go.
We absolutely loved Charleston. I love to travel and while Europe is always my first choice, Brian and I really want to explore more of our beautiful country. What are some of your favorite places to visit? Let me know what I need to put on my bucket list!
Happy Fri-yay, everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for stopping by! I always appreciate it! xo Bryn

Loving this look! So lucky to have snatched this dress up before many have the chance to get their hands on it! All the pink houses are to die for; I think I might have to make a stop down to SC!
