Time seems to be moving faster lately, and I’m sure the holiday buzz is contributing to that! I’m sure everyone has been going full speed ahead this week now that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is coming. I did a little damage online shopping this weekend with all of the amazing sales, but still have to hit the mall this week. Sometimes there is just something about walking through the stores. It takes picking things up and seeing how they’ve been styled to get the gift juices flowing.
I have such fond memories when I was younger of going to the mall with my mom the days following Thanksgiving. We would hit the stores and then grab lunch overlooking the ice skaters circling the Christmas tree. The giant Christmas tree at the Dallas Galleria is the largest indoor tree in the US and always worth a visit around the holidays. It makes holiday shopping much more festive! But these memories are what the holidays are all about. Quality time with family and friends.
Brian and I were out shopping in the charming Downtown McKinney square on a particularly cold morning. All of the shops are filled with Christmas décor and holiday gifts. It’s one of my favorite places to go and shop because you can find so many unique and thoughtful gifts. The whole morning just exuded the Christmas spirit. The county building in the center of the square was covered in wreaths and festive red bows. City officials were decorating the tree while all of the shoppers were ducking in and out of shops. I felt like we were on a movie set!
I knew we would be popping in and out of shops but that the freezing wind would get the best of me. It was the perfect excuse to break out one of my all time favorite coats. I bought this coat a couple of years ago at the end of the winter season at full price. I had been looking at it for months but couldn’t commit. It was sold out online so when I saw one last coat in my size I knew it was meant to be. I just had to have it and I knew it would never come back again. Little did I know it came back year after year and would occasionally go on sale! Oh well, I love it and because of the quality I have been able to wear it for the past couple of years and it still looks brand new.
Luckily for you, this coat is currently 30% off with code “FESTIVE” but only until tonight! The discount takes off over $100 so it’s the perfect time to scoop it up. The gray is my favorite, but it comes in a few other colors, including this windowpane check. This style is very similar and also a steal at 50% off!
I love the burgundy skirt paired with the gray. Normally I would have worn my camel (because I’m obsessed) but I love it with the gray. It gave the look a much more wintery feel which matched the weather perfectly. Can you tell by my face that I’m freezing? Winter is definitely coming! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are having a great week! xo Bryn
