Something I have always loved is a great scarf. I am a firm believer that a scarf can make an outfit. It can tie everything together or it can be the “hero” piece and stand alone. My everyday style typically consists of a few classic pieces in a similar color palette with one (or two) accessories that bring everything together. Think a monochromatic base layer with a pop of color. You can see in Wednesday’s post that I went with shades of blue and then added a hint of red in my bag and sunglasses.
For this look the drop in temperatures had me gravitating towards the darker, winter shades versus a more spring vibe. Head to toe black will always be chic, especially in the winter. I recently picked up this black coat from Zara after falling in love with my red one. A masculine structured overcoat is always a safe investment. They will never go out of style and have such versatility when it comes to styling.
This color block blanket scarf has been in my closet for a couple of years now. It is by far my favorite scarf. The combination of the primary colors with the black and gray just always pops! I’ve worn it with my grey coat, alone as a wrap, and with reds, but my favorite way to style it is with all black. When you have a really bold piece, your best bet is always to let it stand alone.
Even though this scarf is my favorite, I haven’t worn it much this year. It’s funny how we can get into a rut with our favorite pieces and often need a refresh. These beautiful Kendra Scott earrings were actually the item that inspired this whole look. I don’t usually pick my outfit around my jewelry but when they are this gorgeous you want to let them shine!
This scarf is currently on sale for less than $35 with a few left in stock. I have also linked a couple other scarves that I love below. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by! xo Bryn
