I love designer pieces just as much as the next girl. Okay maybe a little more than the next girl. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate a great bargain. In fact, I think it’s easy to be fashionable if you buy the latest off-the-rack from a resort collection where all of the pieces blend seamlessly. Sometimes pulling a look together with trendy pieces from so many different brands can be more challenging. In the end, that’s where your personal style really shines.
A simple LBD like this darling shift dress with a ruffle hem is the perfect example of how your personal style can completely alter a look. Take my friend Mary for example. Mary has great style and is a little more edgy than I am. I love how she paired this same dress with a motto jacket and fun tights.
My style airs on the more feminine side so I went with pastel accents for a more spring vibe. I have been crushing on this light blue hue so much already this spring (see more here and here). I have been reaching for it even more than blush! So when I received this black dress (under $20) I knew immediately that I wanted to accessorize it with the color of the moment: blue.
When it comes to trendy pieces like these statement earrings or a fun colored sandal, I don’t want to spend too much money. Blue might not be as hot next spring so I go to a few of my favorite trendy spots for my accessories for the season. SheIn is always a good go-to for the latest trends with amazingly low price points. I also love Zara, Mango, and Forever21 for accessories.
Do you have any favorite brands that you go to for your trendy items? I always love hearing about new brands so share them in the comments below! Also, I want to thank you all for such an amazing response to last weeks blogging related posts! It was a fun way to celebrate my one year with Waketon Road. Here’s to many more! xo Bryn
