Happy First Day of Spring! My favorite season is here and I can feel the energy it brings already. I love spring for so many reasons. The obvious one being the blooms. I get such a big smile on my face every time I drive past a field of blue bonnets. All of the pink trees lining the roads make me happy. And I can’t get enough of the wild daffodils! Spring is without a doubt the most beautiful time for the Texas landscape. The wisteria is blooming and the smell of spring is in the air!
I spent the entire weekend outside. We were in the 80s every day so I took advantage of the warmth to get a little color on my legs. They haven’t seen the sun in so long! I am in desperate need of a tan now that it’s dress weather again! Speaking of dresses, this one was an instant purchase for me. I was on the “New Arrivals” page for Asos and I saw this dress and ordered it so quickly that I didn’t even realize I was purchasing the “tall!” Luckily, it fits perfectly and I love the midi length.
One shoulder dresses are one of my favorite styles. They are less fuss than full off the shoulder but still show a little skin. The colors of the stripes are fun and cheerful making this a perfect spring dress. It will be pretty for Easter and is also a great option for a spring wedding. It’s off-white enough that you can get away with it as a guest, too!
Every year when spring rolls around I get excited to trade in my beloved coats for flowy dresses. Since we get such hot weather in Texas I try to find any way to stay cool. Dresses are perfect for that. This style dress is just as cute with a flat sandal for a more casual vibe. My nude heeled sandals were the dressier way to go.
I love that the days are getting longer because I always seem to get more done during the spring. It might be a combination of the warm weather and the late sunsets, but my days are full! I try to be outside as much as possible enjoying the beauty that Mother Nature is providing. There are sweet spots of wisteria popping up all over Dallas and the smell is sweetly intoxicating. You can’t help but get Spring Fever!
On another note, I saw Beauty and the Beast this weekend and I couldn’t have loved it more! The cartoon version was a favorite of mine when it came out and seeing it again brought back so many memories. It was hard to contain the urge to sing along in the theater. If you haven’t seen it yet, it highly recommend it! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! xo Bryn

I absolutely LOVE this dress I just had to check out the post. I wore a very similar dress to this one last year but in different color from ASOS. I may have to get it in this color too!
