One thing I always love about traveling is getting to try new restaurants and spend a night on the town. When Brian and I travel we don’t dine out for every meal, instead we hit local markets or cafes for a quick bite. But there are a few nights that we get dressed up for a proper date night at a restaurant that we have been dying to try. There is something about being in a new city, especially a European city, that makes me want to dress for dinner.
Our third night in London was a beautiful fall evening. The sun was peeking out from behind the clouds and creating a glow over the city. The temperature was crisp making it the perfect evening to walk from our hotel in Kensington to Belgravia for a romantic date night at Il Pampero. I had seen this restaurant on Rose’s blog and new I couldn’t miss the tonnarello cache e pepe nella forma di parmigiano. It’s a fancy way of saying pasta prepared in a parmesan cheese wheel topped with black pepper. What’s not to love?
I had to have this skirt the first day I saw it. It’s everything I love in a skirt… midi length, high waist and buttons. It reminds me of one of my favorite skirts that I’ve worn on the blog here and here. The black piping and buttons added a touch of sophistication that I love.
When I travel I typically pack clothes within a certain color scheme so that I can mix and match the pieces. This allows me to maximize my wardrobe on the trip and always look put together. For our trip to London I brought a lot of solid black and white, with a few prints mixed in. Since pearls seem to be everywhere, I couldn’t resist this black turtleneck with pearl buttons on the sleeves.
I will admit that we had to take an Uber back since my feet couldn’t take any more walking. But walking around London is one of my favorite things to do. Each street is different and offers something new and exciting. Not to mention all of the walking is a great excuse to order the tiramisu! xo Bryn
