Last month my mom and I hopped in the car and headed South to Waco, TX. We are both big Fixer Upper fans and have visited Magnolia Market a few times. We even went to the original store, before the big move to the Silos. This time we decided to go in the middle of the week to be able to see as much as possible, with the least amount of people around. We had a few places on the “top things to do in Waco” list so we left early to make the most of our day.
First on the list was Magnolia Table. Since the restaurant is new, neither of us had been yet. We had a few people warn us that the line would be long, and they were right! We arrived mid-morning and the wait for a table was over an hour and a half! Since we were starving we decided to forgo waiting and just tour the property instead. I grabbed a lavender latte at the coffee bar and we walked around the restaurant taking in all of the decor. In true Joanna style, Magnolia Table is beautiful. I love all of the black and white, including the amazing marble bistro tables outside!
Since we didn’t want to wait for lunch at Magnolia Table, we decided to head to our next must see spot in Waco. Spice Village was recommended to me by a co-worker as a fun place to shop but also to eat. I would describe it as an indoor mercantile with different vendors renting shop space. We grabbed lunch downstairs at the Olive Branch before heading upstairs to browse the stalls.
I really enjoyed Spice Village and found the selection of merchandise to be very impressive. They have shops with everything from clothes to home decor to candles. It’s a must see if you are looking for unique pieces.
After Spice Village we drove over to the Silos. We ended up finding parking at a nearby store, called The Findery. This ended up being one of my favorite stops of the day and definitely made its way onto the “top things to do in Waco” list for me. The shop is beautifully merchandised with some really fun home decor pieces.
Next stop was Magnolia Silos. Every inch of the grounds at the Silos is beautiful. The store is always so much fun but my favorite part is the garden (naturally). We grabbed an ice tea from one of the food trucks on site and spent the afternoon wandering around taking in every detail.
We made a quick stop in the Magnolia Bakery before we got back on the road. I highly recommend the Silobration cupcake, but everything is delicious. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day in Waco! Have you been? What are you favorite things to do in Waco? xo Bryn
